Aon appoints executive of new group

Insurance and reinsurance broker Aon P.L.C. said Tuesday it has appointed Karl Hennessy to be CEO of its new carrier solutions group.
Mr. Hennessy, previously president of Aon Broking, is based in London and will report to Michael O’Connor, co-president of Aon P.L.C., Aon said in a statement.
The group will support Aon’s network of managing general agents and managing general underwriters. Andy Jenn, chief operating officer of Aon Broking, will become COO for the carrier solutions group, Aon said.
