BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Chubb names midmarket manufacturing practice leader

Chubb Ltd. said Tuesday it has named Mike Williams executive vice president and manufacturing industry practice leader for its North American midmarket segment.

He replaces Mark Locke, who will retire at the end of 2018 after 27 years with Chubb, the company said in a statement. For the remainder of the year, Mr. Locke will serve as deputy industry practice leader to help ensure a smooth transition for Mr. Williams.

Mr. Williams, who is based in San Ramon, California, joined Chubb in 1989 as a commercial lines underwriter, Chubb said in the statement. Prior to this new position, Mr. Williams was the Western zone underwriting officer for CNA Insurance.

In his new role, he will lead strategic efforts around driving results for the midmarket business, according to the statement.
