Aon appoints global CEO of affinity business

Aon P.L.C. said Thursday that Liam Caffrey has been appointed to the new role of global CEO of affinity.
Aon Affinity is an Aon unit that specializes in insurance programs for associations, nonprofits and other groups.
Mr. Caffrey, who is based in Chicago, is currently global chief financial officer for Aon Risk Solutions and previously served as chief financial officer for ARS Americas, Aon said in a statement. In this new role, he will continue to serve as a member of the Aon executive committee and will report to Michael O’Connor, CEO of Aon Risk Solutions.
“Liam's experience at a global level within Aon, his strategic thinking, and his proven ability to drive commercial results make him uniquely qualified for this key leadership role,” Mr. O’Connor said in the statement.
