BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Texas comp regulators approve fees schedule for telemedicine

There is now a fee schedule for providing telemedicine services for injured workers in Texas, the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers Compensation announced Wednesday.

The code, available on the division’s website, expands access to telemedicine services in the Texas workers compensation system by allowing health care providers to bill and be reimbursed for telemedicine or telehealth services regardless of where the injured employee is located at the time the services are delivered, according to the announcement.

The new fee schedule is applicable to telemedicine and telehealth services provided on or after Sept. 1, 2018.
