Police in Cambridge, England, pulled over a sad clown who was on his way to a children’s party on Saturday.

Sad clown is one caught driving without automobile insurance, as reported the Cambridge News on Sunday.

The clown received a penalty of six points and a £300 fine ($425), the paper reported.

A police officer tweeted the incident on the department’s Twitter feed, writing: "Children's entertainer on way to a party unfortunately has been clowning about with his car insurance on the A14,” referring to a busy road in Cambridge, adding this hashtag: “#driveinsured.”
