Ukraine fines more than 40 Russian airlines $193 millionReprints
The State Aviation Service of Ukraine has fined more than 40 Russian airlines over $193 million since 2015 for operating flights to the annexed Crimean peninsula, 112.international reported. The airlines include Aeroflot - Russian Airlines P.J.S.C., Ural Airlines J.S.C., OJSC Saratov Airlines, UTair Aviation P.J.S.C. and Nordavia Regional Airlines C.J.S.C., among others. The agency had banned all flights over the Crimean peninsula after Russia annexed Crimea in March 2014.
