Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. said Wednesday it has acquired International Risk Consultants, a specialist trade credit and political risk broker.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, and operating across U.S., Brazil, China and Hong Kong, IRC provides trade credit, single- and multi-buyer, and political risk insurance, London-based JLT said in a statement. The two companies already work together serving JLT’s global credit, political and security clients, JLT said.
IRC has more than 500 clients and a global team consisting of 63 employees, 37 in the U.S., a JLT spokeswoman said.
IRC companies have been rebranded JLT Specialty USA CPS practice, JLT Asia CPS practice and JLT Brazil CPS practice.
JLT Re, the reinsurance division of London-based Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C., on Friday said it is launching an enterprise content management software system product.
