Central bank the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority has asked local insurers to issue or renew insurance policies for shops only after confirming the existence of surveillance cameras in commercial establishments, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing Arab News. The move comes after the discovery of a number of criminal acts committed in shops, including arson and theft, to obtain compensation from insurers.
