Dutch insurer's profit rises nearly 70%

Dutch insurer NN Group N.V.'s net profit grew 68% year over year to €734 million ($865.4 million) in the third quarter, Reuters reported. Operating profit grew 35% to €431 million, driven by the insurer's acquisition of counterpart Delta Lloyd N.V. NN Group expects the takeover to lead to cost reductions of €150 million in 2020. Sales grew 33% in the third quarter.
