Typhoon Lan caused All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd. and Japan Airlines Co. Ltd. to cancel 350 flights on Oct. 22 and an additional 170 flights on Oct. 23, The Japan Times reported. Train services were disrupted, with some express trains departing from and arriving at Tokyo's Shinjuku Station and Nagoya Station being cancelled, operators said. Meanwhile, local automaker Toyota Motor Corp. suspended operations at factories in the prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, Gifu, Shizuoka, Aichi, Mie and Fukuoka on Oct. 23, officials said.
