Ulrich Wallin, chief executive of Hannover Re S.E., said that reinsurance prices could rise by up to 50% in regions hit by natural disasters in North America, Reuters reported. The region was struck by three hurricanes and two earthquakes recently. Mr. Wallin said that prices are likely to rise 5% elsewhere, bringing overall prices to 2015 levels. Hannover Re said that it could miss its profit target this year due to claims from the natural disasters.
