BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Hylant announces strategic partnership with minority-owned agencies

Toledo, Ohio-based Hylant Group Inc. said Tuesday that it has entered into a strategic partnership with minority-owned firms Pinkney-Perry Insurance Agency Inc. and Camryn Insurance Service L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of Comer Holdings L.L.C.

Hylant COO Andy Dale said that under the agreement, Hylant will service the accounts of Pinkney-Perry, an insurance agency based in Cleveland. Mr. Dale said Detroit-based Camryn Insurance will have a similar arrangement with Hylant.

“The three firms will be working together,” Mr. Dale said.

“Diversity is important to Hylant. Through this alliance, the name and expertise of Pinkney-Perry will continue to be an important presence in the marketplace,” Bill Pridgeon, Hylant’s president, said in a statement. “But the business and its clients also will benefit from the broad capabilities and strong carrier relationships of Hylant.”

Richard Perry, Pinkney-Perry’s president and CEO, said in the statement that “we look forward to expanding our ability to provide risk management solutions and advice to clients and prospects.”

Since its beginning in 1961, Hylant said, Cleveland-based Pinkney-Perry has been a 100% minority-owned and -operated insurance and financial services company and is the oldest and largest minority-owned insurance agency in the state.
