BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Oklahoma governor appoints chairman of workers comp commission

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin on Tuesday named Mark Liotta as new chairman of the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Mr. Liotta, a former state representative from Tulsa who has served on the commission since 2015, succeeds Robert Gilliland, whose term on the commission expires Aug. 25.

“Mark is aware of the critical role the Workers’ Compensation Commission has in our state,” said Gov. Fallin in a press statement. “During his time on the commission, he has worked hard so our system is saving businesses hundreds of millions of dollars, and injured workers are being treated fairly, getting help, and getting back to work quickly.”

Mr. Liotta, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, was serving as chief deputy to the Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners and as chairman of the Oklahoma Employees Insurance and Benefits Board and the Oklahoma State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board, when the governor appointed him to the Workers’ Compensation Commission in April 2015, according to a press release.
