Swiss Re forms global contingency and sports personal accident unit

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd., a division of Swiss Re Ltd., on Thursday said it is forming a global unit for its contingency and sports personal accident business.
Jonathan Cole will head the new unit from New York, effective immediately, working with a team of underwriters in London and New York, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions said in a statement.
Mr. Cole was most recently Head of the North American contingency team, according to the statement.
“Jonathan's considerable product knowledge and experience across all contingency and disability lines, as well as his extensive global network, make him the ideal leader to build our team,” Andreas Hillebrand, head of credit and special lines, said in the statement.
