Cyber attack could lead to $53 billion in economic lossesPosted On: Jul. 17, 2017 7:32 PM CST
A major, global cyber attack could trigger $53 billion in economic losses, Lloyd’s of London said in a report on Monday.
A loss of that size would be comparable to losses from natural disasters such as Superstorm Sandy in the United States in 2012, the report said.
The report examined potential economic losses from the hypothetical hacking of a cloud service provider and cyber attacks on computer operating systems run by businesses worldwide.
