BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Natural disasters cost global economy $520 billion per year: World Bank

The World Bank Group said that the annual total cost to the global economy from natural disasters is estimated to be $520 billion, Financial Tribune reported. The United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction said that direct economic losses from major disaster events such as floods, storms, earthquakes and drought were estimated at nearly $139 billion.
