Leadership changes for Iowa broker

TrueNorth Cos. L.L.C., based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, said Tuesday that it has named Jason Smith as president.
Previously, Mr. Smith was executive vice president of TrueNorth’s transportation division, the broker said in a statement.
He takes over the president function from Duane Smith, who was previously president and CEO of the brokerage and remains as CEO, a TrueNorth spokeswoman said.
In addition, Trent Tillman was named executive vice president of the transportation division to replace Jason Smith. Previously, Mr. Tillman was practice leader of TrueNorth’s AssetLight Risk Solutions practice.
TrueNorth is the 63rd-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
