Floods cause nearly $4 million damage in Jamaica

Desmond McKenzie, Jamaica's local government minister, said that heavy rains that lashed the island recently caused $492 million Jamaica ($3.8 million) worth of damage, The Gleaner reported. Preliminary reports from the National Works Agency indicated that the floods caused JMD 352 million worth of damage to the main road network across 10 districts, Mr. Mckenzie said.
