Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Monday that it has acquired Eagle Insurance Agency L.L.C.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Syracuse, New York-based Eagle is a retail insurance broker and consultant that provides property/casualty coverages and services throughout New York and Massachusetts, with a focus on the health care, energy, technology and manufacturing industries, Gallagher said in a statement.
Eagle founder Timothy George and his team will continue to operate from Syracuse as a satellite of Gallagher’s Albany office under the direction of New York-based Douglas Brown, head of Gallagher's Northeastern retail property/casualty brokerage operations, according to the statement.
Arthur J. Gallagher is the world's fourth-largest insurance broker, according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
