BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Gallagher acquires insurance agency in Northeast

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Monday that it has acquired Eagle Insurance Agency L.L.C.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Syracuse, New York-based Eagle is a retail insurance broker and consultant that provides property/casualty coverages and services throughout New York and Massachusetts, with a focus on the health care, energy, technology and manufacturing industries, Gallagher said in a statement.

Eagle founder Timothy George and his team will continue to operate from Syracuse as a satellite of Gallagher’s Albany office under the direction of New York-based Douglas Brown, head of Gallagher's Northeastern retail property/casualty brokerage operations, according to the statement.

Arthur J. Gallagher is the world's fourth-largest insurance broker, according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
