Mercer L.L.C. said Thursday that it will partner with health care concierge services firm Accolade to launch Mercer Complete Care, a health care engagement and clinical management solution.
Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania-based Accolade is an on-demand health care concierge for employers, health plans and health systems, Mercer said in a statement.
Mercer Complete Care utilizes Accolade’s technology platform, support infrastructure, health assistants and Mercer’s program design and clinical oversight, according to the statement.
Mercer Complete Care members will be able to contact Accolade health assistants for help with navigating the health care system and accessing the providers and services available to them through their benefits.
The assistants work with a team of nurses, doctors, pharmacists, social workers and behavioral and other specialists who support members as they receive their care from their own providers, according to the statement.
Proposed IRS regulations that could penalize employers offering financial incentives to certain employees to opt out of company-provided health insurance plans also would shield employers from a health reform law affordability penalty in some cases.
