A report by Cisco Systems Inc. has said that global organizations are unprepared for future strains of more sophisticated ransomware, Business Standard reports citing Indo-Asian News Service.
Ransomware has become the most profitable malware in history and the trend will continue as more destructive ransomware spreads by itself and hold firms hostage. The report added that new modular strains of ransomware will be able to quickly switch tactics to maximize efficiency.
