Marsh appoints vice chairman of global placement

Jeremy Cooke has been appointed to the new position of vice chairman of global placement at Marsh L.L.C., the insurance brokerage arm of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., the company announced Wednesday.
Mr. Cooke, who is based in London, previously was head of placement for Marsh's international division, the brokerage said in a statement.
He is a past president of the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices Ltd. and also recently was vice chairman of the London & International Insurance Brokers Association.
“With his extensive knowledge and experience, Jeremy is well-placed to bring further innovation to the already broad range of placement capabilities we deliver to our clients,” Dean Klisura, global head of industry specialties and placement at Marsh in New York, said in the statement.
