Berkshire Hathaway enters Australian accident and health market

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Co. has launched accident and health insurance products in Australia.
Daniel Kenny has been appointed head of accident and health, and Shaun Higgerson has been named senior underwriter for accident and health, BHSI said Tuesday in a statement. Both executives are based in Sydney.
Previously, Mr. Kenny was national manager, broker market, accident & health, at Chubb Insurance Company Australia. Previously, Mr. Higgerson was senior development underwriter at Chubb Insurance.
The new products will include corporate travel insurance, group personal accident insurance, expatriate insurance, inpatriate insurance, journey insurance and voluntary workers insurance, according to the statement.
