Allianz completes acquisition of Aegon's commercial property/casualty portfolio

The central bank and Authority for Consumers & Markets of the Netherlands has approved the acquisition of insurer Aegon N.V.'s commercial property/casualty portfolio by Allianz S.E., reported Xprimm.com.

The portfolio, with a premium volume of about €90 million ($100 million), will scheduled to be transferred to Allianz on July 1. Allianz will take over more than 60,000 commercial accounts from Aegon under the deal. About 70 Aegon employees will transfer to Allianz to ensure operational continuity.
