Gallagher acquires benefits broker and consultant

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired The Buchholz Planning Corp., Gallagher said in a Monday statement.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Buchholz Planning Corp. is a Madison, Wisconsin-based provider of employee benefits consulting and brokerage services for middle-market and large health care businesses and individuals in the U.S., according to the statement.
The Buchholz Planning Corp. CEO and president, William Buchholz, his partners and his associates will continue to operate at their current location. They will operate under the name The Buchholz Planning Corp., a division of Gallagher Benefit Services Inc. and under the direction of Bill Ziebell, head of Gallagher's North Central employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations, a Gallagher spokeswoman said in an emailed statement.
