QBE names specialty underwriting leader

QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Insurance Group Ltd., on Thursday said it has named Philadelphia-based Erin Fry senior vice president and underwriting leader of specialty programs.
In her new role, Ms. Fry will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic underwriting plan for driving QBE specialty products through the managing general agent/managing general underwriter distribution channel with the company's appointed program administrators. She will work with program administrators to underwrite niche specialty program opportunities, QBE North America said in a statement.
Previously, Ms. Fry was head of professional liability programs at XL Catlin, according to the statement.
