BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The IMA Financial Group Inc. said on Tuesday it has acquired Dallas-based broker Waldman Bros.

The subsidiary, newly dubbed IMA | Waldman, has nearly 70 employees and will offer commercial insurance solutions and employee benefits, IMA said in a statement.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Waldman CEO, Steve Waldman will serve as president of IMA | Waldman Texas, and IMA's Rob Broz will serve as IMA | Waldman president Dallas-Fort Worth, according to a statement.

“Joining our established insurance brokerages solidifies the middle market alternative in Dallas-Fort Worth for companies that demand superior client service,” IMA | Waldman Texas president Steve Waldman said in the statement. “Uniting IMA's depth of knowledge and resource-rich environment with Waldman Bros.' complementary expertise will add new services and value to both companies' existing clients.”

IMA Financial Group is based in Wichita, Kansas.
