Experts have warned of a double-whammy of possible flooding from La Nina in Asia, which is already reeling from drought and other disasters due to El Nino, reports The Times of India citing Agence France-Presse.
IHS Global Insight Inc. has said that the economic losses from El Nino in Southeast Asia are likely to exceed $10 billion. La Nina could be "devastating" for Asia, bringing possible "flooding and landslides which can impact on food production," a Greenpeace campaigner said.
