Flood damage pegged at over half a million dollars in Jamaica

Jamaica's National Works Agency has put a preliminary estimate of the damage from floods in the country's Portland region at $64 million Jamaican ($523,860), reported Jamaica Gleaner.

The floods caused damage to the roads and other infrastructure in Portland.

An official at NWA said that the damage figure is likely to increase as assessment continues.
