USI Insurance Services L.L.C. said on Tuesday that it has acquired Toledo, Ohio-based Brooks Insurance Inc.
Brooks is an independent insurance agency that provides coverage and service in northwest Ohio, southeast Michigan, and northeast Indiana. Brooks offers property/casualty, employee benefits, bonds/surety, homeowners, renters, automobile, watercraft and personal health insurance, USI said in a statement.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Brooks’ 64 employees will remain at their Toledo and Bowling Green, Ohio, locations. They will operate under the name Brooks Insurance, a Division of USI Insurance Services for a period of six months and then it will become USI Insurance Services moving forward, a spokeswoman said in an emailed statement.
“In joining forces with one of the premier insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the country, our clients will continue to benefit from coordinated solutions and support on a local level, but now they also will be able to tap into USI’s resources, technical expertise and wide range of products and services on a national level.,” Dennis Johnson, president of Brooks Insurance, said in the statement.
USI Insurance Services L.L.C. said Monday that it has acquired Marlton, New Jersey-based employee benefits wholesale brokerage CBDI Inc.
