Aon P.L.C. has promoted Bryon Ehrhart, previously Chicago-based CEO of Aon Benfield Americas, to a new global post that is intended to boost the insurance brokerage's growth.
Mr. Ehrhart, who has been with Aon since 1994, has been named global head of growth and development, Aon said Wednesday.
Mr. Ehrhart's former position will not be filled, and his team at Aon Benfield now reports to Aon Benfield CEO Eric Anderson, an Aon spokeswoman confirmed.
Mr. Ehrhart, who will report directly to Aon CEO Greg Case, will explore ways to accelerate growth initiatives at Aon in his new position, Aon said.
Mr. Ehrhart was named CEO of Aon Benfield Americas in 2013, after serving as the unit's chairman of analytics and investment banking.
Aon Risk Solutions has recruited Julie Page who was most recently at rival Marsh Ltd. to run its U.K. middle-market business.
