Claims from bushfires likely to total more than $106 million

Insurance claims from the recent bushfires in Australia's Great Ocean Road are likely to total up to $150 million Australian ($106 million), reported Geelong Advertiser.

More than 1,200 insurance claims relating to businesses, houses and business income loss have been lodged. Construction firm Grocon Pty. Ltd. will lead the clean-up process that is likely to start in late February. Insurers would cover clean-up costs of up to AUD 25,000 at each site that Grocon works on.
