Brazil's Lava Jato corruption scandal has created a new market for directors and officers liability insurance in the nation, BNamericas reported.
"D&O insurance in Brazil is constantly growing and is increasingly sought out by companies concerned with protecting their administrators," said Juliana Caziradzi, an official at broker Marsh Corretora de Seguros Ltda. "We have seen a significant increase in the number of policies contracted in 2015, and we expect the increase to be even greater in 2016," added Ms. Caziradzi.
