Arizona insurance department names interim director

Leslie Hess has been named interim director of the Arizona Department of Insurance.
Andrew M. Tobin served as Director of the Arizona Department of Insurance from October 12, 2015 through February 1, 2016. Governor Douglas A. Ducey appointed Mr. Tobin to fill a vacancy on the Arizona Corporation Commission beginning February 2, 2016.
Previously, Ms. Hess was director of compliance and corporate secretary for Oxford Life Insurance Co. and its subsidiaries. Prior to that, she was an attorney for the Arizona Legislative Council, the Arizona Department of Insurance said Tuesday in a statement.
Ms. Hess is based in Phoenix.
