A hacker has launched a cyber attack on a bank in U.A.E.'s Sharjah city and is demanding ransom to stop the leak of confidential client data, reports Gulf News citing XPRESS newspaper.

The hacker is reportedly seeking $3 million. He has been posting the account statements of government entities and several U.A.E. firms and individuals daily on a social networking site since Nov.18. The hacker said that he will not stop until the bank pays him the ransom money in digital currency Bitcoin.
