Typhoon Dujuan causes $220 million in economic losses

China's Office of State Flood Control and Drought Relief headquarters has said that typhoon Dujuan has resulted in economic losses worth 1.4 billion Chinese yuan ($220 million) since it hit the country's Zhejiang and Fujian provinces, reports Xinhua.

The office said that the typhoon had affected almost one million people and damaged 57,000 hectares of farmland in these provinces. The typhoon also caused power cuts for 1.5 million households in Fujian province.
