BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Scor expects reinsurance demand as Solvency II nears

Analysts at Canada-based RBC Capital Markets said that French reinsurer Scor S.E. expects increased and new demand for reinsurance from some of its large global clients as the implementation of Solvency II nears, reported Artemis.bm.

Solvency II will take effect in early 2016.

Victor Peignet, CEO of Scor Global P&C, said the reinsurer expects that its clients will purchase reinsurance for subsidiaries that were not previously reinsured earlier, said the analysts.
