BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Vienna Insurance Group to acquire Baltikums

Vienna Insurance Group AG has signed an agreement to acquire Latvia-based insurance company Baltikums AAS, reported The Baltic Course.

The acquisition of 100% shares of Baltikums will be completed following the necessary permissions and after the acquisition VIG will become one of the five leading insurers in Latvia. "Over the last five years, VIG's annual growth in the Baltic insurance market has been 30% on the average. Acquisition of Baltikums enables us to proceed with the group's development," said Peter Hagen, general manager of VIG.
