To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

Insurance take-up low among SMEs in Mexico: AIG

American International Group Inc. has said that 25% to 30% of small and medium enterprises in Mexico are forced to shut down due to lack of insurance, reported El Universal.

Only 5% of SMEs in the country have some kind of insurance. This is lower than the average for all of Latin America, where about 11% of businesses are insured. AIG is looking to make further inroads among SMEs in Mexico. Marcelo Hernandez, chief executive of AIG in Mexico, said that SMEs in the country mainly insure against natural disasters and crime.
