Beijing insurance industry assets total $81.77 billion as of May

The Beijing Insurance Regulatory Bureau has said that the insurance industry assets in the Chinese city totaled 507.58 billion Chinese yuan ($81.77 billion) as of May, reports Hexun.com citing Beijing Daily.

Data showed that property insurance premium volume in Beijing totaled CNY 14.4 billion ($2.31 billion) in the first five months of 2015.

Property insurance claims payout amounted to CNY 87.7 billion ($14.12 billion) during the period, Hexun.com reported.
