BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Africa risk pool adds five nations, taps ILS

The African Risk Capacity agency has added five new nations to its risk pool, growing the pool to $192 million of capacity, reported Artemis.bm.

The agency is utilizing $70 million of global reinsurance cover, which includes some insurance-linked securities or collateralized protection.

Malawi, Burkina Faso, Mali, Zimbabwe and Gambia are the five nations that are joining the pool in 2015/2016 policy year.

The pool would now have nine member nations with the latest additions.

Total premium from the member nations total $26.7 million, ARC said.
