BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

EEOC workshop to focus on workplace retaliation

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has scheduled a public meeting on retaliation in the workplace for June 17.

The meeting, entitled “Retaliation in the Workplace: Causes, Remedies, and Strategies for Prevention,” will include EEOC officials as well as business representatives, among others. The panelists will discuss why retaliation occurs in the workplace and proactive methods employers can take to prevent such discrimination from occurring, the agency said.

The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. June 17 at EEOC headquarters at 131 M Street, N.E., Washington, D.C.
