The pool needs further 6 billion Indian rupees ($94.1 million) to be operational.
"For the balance, we are getting reinsurance support from overseas pools mainly from Europe and America and expect the pool to be operational in two months," said General Insurance Corp. of India general manager Y Ramulu.
The pool's capacity must be INR 15 billion ($235.3 billion) as per Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act 2010.
