Biggest storm on earth washes New Zealand

New Zealand has been hit by a major storm that WeatherWatch.co.nz called the biggest on earth, reports The New Zealand Herald.
Snow, wind and rain have been reported in several regions of the country. The storm caused a temporary closure of Queenstown Airport. Snows prompted closure of roads in the country's South Island. Power cuts have been reported in several places. Lightening has damaged transformers and winds have brought down a power line, said Aurora Energy Ltd.
