Costa Rica fastest growing Latin American insurance market: Report

Spain-based Fundacion Mapfre has said in a report that Costa Rica was the fastest growing Latin American insurance market in 2014, reports BNamericas.

Insurance premiums in the nation increased 14.3% in real terms for the period, the report said. Uruguay, Nicaragua and Argentina followed Costa Rica with growth in insurance premium at 13%, 12.3% and 11.6%, respectively. Insurance premiums in Ecuador declined 1% in 2014. Premiums in Brazil expanded 7% in 2014.
