Paul Polman, CEO of Netherlands and U.K.-based The Unilever Group, has said that climate change costs the firm €400 million ($443.8 million) annually, reports NL Times.

"Companies are first to see the cost of climate change, such as the drought in California and Brazil at the moment," said Mr. Polman.

"We face challenges from climate change that can only be properly tackled if everyone participates," said Wilma Mansveld, Netherlands' Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment.
