Bermuda reinsurance platform acquires captive consultant

Multi-Strat Holdings Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, has acquired Annapolis Consulting Group L.L.C., a consultancy providing reinsurance and finality solutions for captive insurers and self-insured corporations.
Multi-Strat will also acquire Annapolis Consulting subsidiary ACG Brokerage (Bermuda) Ltd. as part of the transaction, the reinsurance platform company said Thursday in a statement.
Annapolis Consulting is a Maryland-domiciled company with offices in Annapolis; Greenville, South Carolina; and Hamilton, Bermuda. The company specializes in the resolution of costly legacy claims and captive runoffs, according to the statement.
“ACG will be Multi-Strat's first U.S.-based business, and the addition of ACG's legal, claims, auditing and runoff acumen will add significantly to our overall capabilities,” Bob Forness, CEO of Multi-Strat Holdings unit Multi-Strat Re, said in the statement.
“Teaming with Multi-Strat will provide ACG with access to tools that will multiply our effectiveness,” said Sean Logan, CEO of Annapolis Consulting Group, in the statement, which added that Annapolis Consulting's “team of highly experienced professionals will be joining the Multi-Strat group.”
