Former insurance superintendent to join reinsurance broker

Former New York Superintendent of Insurance James J. Wrynn will join Guy Carpenter & Co. L.L.C. as managing director/vice chair of strategic advisory (U.S.) on May 11, his current employer, law firm Goldberg Segalla, announced Friday.
Mr. Wrynn is currently a partner in Goldberg Segalla's global insurance services practice group in New York.
According to a statement released by the law firm, Mr. Wrynn has been working with Guy Carpenter on strategic initiatives throughout his time at Goldberg Segalla.
“Goldberg Segalla is looking forward to this next phase of its relationship with both Mr. Wrynn and Guy Carpenter,” the law firm said in the statement
“Jim has been a thought leader in terms of our brand and growth,” said Richard J. Cohen, Goldberg Segalla's managing partner in the statement. “We now have a first-rate insurance regulatory practice poised to serve the industry for years to come. He will, no doubt, bring vision and opportunity to Guy Carpenter.”
