BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Independent insurance broker alliance Brokerslink has made several leadership changes to drive growth and revenue, the group said Thursday.

Brokerslink, which restructured from a nonprofit association to a for-profit brokerage during the fourth quarter of 2014, named Porto, Portugal-based MDS Group boss José Manuel Fonseca as its CEO, the group said in a statement. Mr. Fonseca was previously chairman of Brokerslink.

The group also said Jamie Crystal, executive vice president of Crystal & Company, will succeed Mr. Fonseca as chairman.

Grégory Allard, executive vice president of Filhet Allard S.A., is now deputy chairman, and Shaun Hooper, CEO for international with Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford Ltd., has joined the board, Brokerslink said.

Mr. Hooper replaces Steve Jackson, the Latin America regional commercial director of Cooper Gay, who will now be Brokerslink’s regional director of the Americas, according to the statement.

Brokerslink said the role of chairman will rotate among members to enable Brokerslink to benefit from a range of management styles.

“Today’s changes to the Brokerslink board will place us in the ideal position to ensure our members benefit fully from our transformation into a truly global independent broking company,” Mr. Fonseca said in the statement. “Over the past year, we have completely restructured the organization and created a very strong management and delivery team. Our focus is now very much on winning business and demonstrating our unique capabilities and strengths to the global insurance market and clients based anywhere in the world.”
