BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AIG creates technology chief position

American International Group Inc. has tapped Michael Brady to be its first chief technology officer.

Mr. Brady, who is based in New York, is charged with developing AIG's technical infrastructure, identifying technologies that will benefit the firm's stakeholders, and developing relationships with external technology partners, according to a statement released Thursday from Phil Fasano, AIG's executive vice president and chief information officer.

In the statement, Mr. Fasano said Mr. Brady will first focus on immediate improvements to the firm's performance, making sure AIG employees are free of technological obstacles.

“Mike will also focus on making the longer-term, sustainable improvements that will be required to fully enhance our infrastructure — a critical step in our journey to becoming a company that leverages the full potential of technology,” Mr. Fasano said.

Mr. Brady joins AIG from Kaiser Permanente, where he was head of the firm's infrastructure organization.
